What is PRF;

PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) is a technology based on the extraction and processing of the patient’s blood to produce plasma rich in platelets, leukocytes and stem cells. These elements contain growth factors that stimulate tissue regeneration and the development of new cells. PRF offers more prolonged and stable results compared to Platelet Rich Plasma, due to the longer release of growth factors, higher concentration and its natural biocompatibility.

PRF releases growth factors gradually over a longer period of time (up to a week), compared to Platelet Rich Plasma which releases them over a few hours.
PRF has a higher concentration of growth factors due to the centrifugation process being done at lower speeds, retaining more cells. PRF is considered more biocompatible and promotes better tissue integration. At the same time, it contains a higher concentration of platelets and white blood cells and keeps the growth factors active for a longer period of time, offering long-lasting results.

PRF treatment process

PRF hair treatment involves taking blood, processing it, and finally injecting it into the scalp, in areas where hair loss or thinning is observed.

The number of sessions required varies depending on the hair loss pattern and the patient’s goals.

An initial series of 3-4 sessions is usually required, with an interval of 4-6 weeks between them.
Maintenance sessions follow every few months to maintain and enhance the results.
